課程概述

本課程的目的在以東南亞國家為核心,討論有關政治發展的理論與概念,了解各國在政治發展上顯現不同成果的原因,亦探討幾個塑造發展中國家社會、經濟和政治發展的關鍵主題。本課程將分成幾個主題討論,每周並針對特定國家深入理解。同學在課餘時應補充東南亞各國的歷史與體制等相關資訊,以作為理解指定文本與課堂深入討論之用。 

課程目標
本課程的目標在於讓碩士生理解比較政治裡的幾個關鍵概念與理論,了解這些概念與理論如何被應用在實際的案例分析,並以此理解跨國分析的準則與方法。學習過程中,除了對東南亞國家的政治與體制能有深入認識外,也能以其為案例進行理論的比較研究。本課程依主題主要選擇下列東南亞國家討論:菲律賓、越南、泰國、新加坡、馬來西亞、印尼、柬埔寨與緬甸。

期末報告 80%
課堂參與 20%

期中與期末報告由同學選定一個題目做申論文,題目可事先與授課老師討論。評分標準包括是否有清楚的立論,是否有足夠與令人信服的原因與例證支持立論,以及立論與文獻的相關性等。

評分分為五個等第進行評分
